Analyses for Cracks in Cast Slab of Saw Steel 75Cr1
The mechanism for cracking of slab made of 75Cr1 saw steel was investigated by means of optical metallography,scanning electron microscopy and electron probe analysis.The cracks are initiated at a depth of 30-50 mm from the surface of the slab,being associated with carbon segregation,ferrite precipitation at grain boundaries and low crack arresting capability of high carbon as-cast pearlite.
