    Effects of Rolling Temperature on Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of AZ31 Sheets Fabricated by Cross-Rolling

    • AZ31 alloy sheets with homogeneous microstructure were successfully fabricated by cross-rolling, and the effects of rolling temperature on grain size, texture and mechanical properties were investigated. The results show that the cross-rolling technology could effectively refine the microstructure of the alloy, and improved the homogeneousness of texture. The average grain size and maximum pole density decreased with the decreasing of deformation temperature, resulting in a good comprehensive mechanical property of sheets consequently. The average grain size and maximum pole density of AZ31 sheet cross-rolled at 250 ℃ were 4 μm and 8.4, respectively. The best comprehensive mechanical property which gave the ultimate tensile strength (UTS), yield strength (YS) and elongation of the sheets were 301.0 MPa, 220.2 MPa and 30.1%, respectively, at rolling temperature of 250 ℃.
