Numerical Simulation on Rubber Bladder Hydraulic Forming Process for Shrink Flanging Part with Large Curvature

Abstract
In order to obtain the process parameters of rubber bladder hydraulic forming for shrink flanging part with large curvature, the finite element software ABAQUS was used to simulate the forming process. The influences of the parameters of the side blank holder were analyzed and the process parameters were optimized. The actual forming experiments were carried out to verified.The results show that the suitable parameters of the side blank holder were the distance between side blank holder and die 12 mm, the dip angle of the side blank holder 70°, the fillet radius of the side blank holder 8 mm, and the corresponding lap width 20 mm. The qualified part was formed with the optimized parameters, the thickness distribution of the part was consistent with the result of numerical simulation, the error of minimum thickness of the simulation was very small compared with the result of the experiment, which verified the reliability of the finite element model.
