A Comparison for Predicting Creep Curves of 10Cr9MoW2VNbBN Steel by Different Methods

  • A prediction for the creep curves of 10Cr9MoW2VNbBN steel through θ projection method and self-built correction model was performed,and then compared with the creep experimental data at 600℃ and 650℃.The results show that the θ projection method can well describe the relationship between the creep strain and time,however,it can not describe the relationship between the creep rate and time objectively.The self-built correction model in this paper can describe the real creep behavior of the tested steel.However,when the creep curves based on the self-built correction model combining with fracture strain were used to extrapolate the creep rupture life,the extrapolated value was much higher than the real one.
