Springback for 2124 Aluminum Alloy during Creep Aging Forming

Abstract
Based on variable curvature creep age forming test device, the effects of the aging time, aging temperature and elastic pre-deformation radius on the age-reinforced 2124 aluminum alloy creep age springback were studied, and the influence of pure bending and lateral force bending on springback of pieces was compared, and springback prediction model was established through multiple regression analysis, which was verified by experiments. The results show that, in the same test condition, the springback under the pure bending was larger than the transverse bending, which showed that the influence of the flexural deformation mode on springback could not be ignored. Regression model on the springback prediction results coincided with experimental results, and the maximum deviation was less than 9.62%, which verified the feasibility of the springback prediction model.
