  • 2024-T62 aluminum alloy riveted structures with dimple holes were investigated by durability experiment and the analysis of fracture to get the data of endurance crack propagation. The traditional method and a method of comparing the probability of the crack number beyond the reference number were used to assess the initial fatigue quality contrastively. Assessment results were checked by the controlled stress level curves. Results show that the assessment curve of IFQ get by the method of comparing the probability of the crack number beyond the reference number was closer to the reality than that of the traditional method, which was verified by the controlled stress level curves.
