Magnetic Characteristics of Stressed 35 Cold Rolled Steel Component

    • The relationships of residual magnetization of end surface and coercive force with different stresses of 35 cold rolled steel ferromagnetic items were measured,ia a maximum field of 40 kA·m-1.When the stress is smaller than the yield point of the material, residual magnetization of end surface and coercive force of material produced by different residual stresses almost remaine constant. However, when stress is greater than yield point of the material, the residual magnetization of end surface and coercive force increase sharply. The properties of mutation for residual magnetization of end surface and coercive force can be used to detect stress concentration and load condition, which provides a new research thought for magnetic non-destructive testing method.
