Abstract
The effects of re-solution and re-ageing on mechanical properties and microstructural characteristics of 7175 aluminum alloy were evaluated by means of scanning electron microscopy(SEM),transmission electron microscopy (TEM),mechanical properties and conductivity tests.The best general properties could be attained by reageing of 100 ℃×2 h+130 ℃×6 h+180 ℃×5 h.When the microstructural characteristics of 7175 exhibited more fine Guinier-Proston zones and η′ phase in the matrix and large particles in the grain boundary,the alloy had the best general properties.
