    High Temperature Property Comparison for Two New Hot Work Die Steels

    • The microstructure of SDCM3 and SDCM4 steels before and after the thermal stability test was studied using optical microscopy, scanning electron microscopy and energy dispersive spectroscopy. A comparative study on the thermal fatigue preperty of SDCM3 and SDCM4 steels was performed by the self-restricting test method. The results show that SDCM3 steel had better thermal-stability and resistance to thermal fatigue compared with SDCM4 steel.
