Research and Production Status of Dual Phase Steels for Automobiles

Dual phase steels are developed rapidly in automobile industry because of their excellent mechanical properties and formability and they have become ideal automobile steels. At present,there exists a comparative gap between China and foreign countries both in theory research and practice production of dual phase steels. Research status and direction of dual phase steels are introduced. It is pointed out that more attention should be paid to the research of high strength,galvanization and grain refinement of dual phase steels to suit the rapid increase requirements of dual phase steels for automobiles.
