Tribological Properties of POB,PA and MoS2 Solid mixture Lubrication Coating Prepared by In-situ Synthesis

  • Continuous and even lubrication films of POB,PA and MoS2 solid mixture were formed on test blocks by in-situ.The polyoxybenzoate (POB) chemical structures and thermal properties of the prepared POB as well as the tribological behaviors of the prepared coatings were investigated.The results show the continuous and even lubrication films could be obtained by sintering at 200 and 260℃.The chemical structure of the prepared POB was essentially identical to that of the commercial POB.However,the prepared POB exhibited a higher content of -COOH than the commercial POB and its decomposition temperature (Td) and crystal transition temperature were about 10-20℃ lower than those of the latter.For the coating with 20% plyamide(PA) and 30% MoS2,the steady friction coefficient was lower than 0.045 with the lowest wear loss 0.082 mm3 when it was sliding against the counterpart.
