Rheological Property and Fluid Constitutive Relationship of Medium-density W-Ni-Fe Feedstock in Metal Injection Molding Process
-
Abstract
Rheology properties of three kinds of W-Ni-Fe feedstock with different densities (10,14,17 g·cm-3 respectively after sintered) were studied to determine the effect of shear rate, temperature and tungsten-nickel ratio. Results suggest that W-Ni-Fe feedstock is a kind of pseudo-plastic fluid. The apparent viscosity of the W-Ni-Fe feedstock declined as shear rate increases or temperature rised.Non-Newtonian exponent increased as temperature rised. The tungsten-nickel feedstock became more sensitive to shear rate and temperature when the ratio of tungsten increased. In addition, fluid constitutive relationship of the feedstock was derived through the non-linear fit technology.
