    Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of Al2O3p/AZ91 Mg-BasedComposites Prepared by RS/PM Process

    • AZ91 Mg-based composites reinforced by Al2O3 particles were produced by self-made twin-roller atomization chilling unit using rapid solidification (RS) and powder metallurgy (PM) method.The microstructure,phase composition and mechanical properties of the composites were investigated.The results show that the particle reinforced phases distributed homogeneously in the substrate.The room temperature δ,σb,σ0.2 were 2.00%,32500 MPa,293.64 MPa,respectively.The composites exhibited excellent elevated temperature mechanical properties,that the δ,σb,σ0.2 at 473 K were 11.24%,209.75 MPa,195.53 MPa,respectively.
