Abstract
Two-dimensional(2D) TiO2 nanogrids were replicated from butterfly wing scales as bio-templates by vacuum evaporation and high temperature calcination method, and then characterized by SEM, EDS and TEM. The adsorption properties of the nanogrids to CdTe quantum dots were analyzed. The results show that 2D-TiO2 nanogrids could be prepared successfully using the method. The bio-templates could be completely removed by high temperature calcination, and well-covered CdTe quantum dots on TiO2 nanogrids were formed. The adsorption properties of TiO2 nanogrids were better than those of the TiO2 film.
