Finite Element Simulation of Austenite Grain Growth of GCr15 Steel

  • The effects of heating temperature and holding time on austenite grain growth process of GCr15 steel were studied using Gleeble-3800 thermo-mechanical simulator.The mathematical model which can describe austenite grain growth behavior of the steel was obtained and written in the subroutine of Marc.Then austenite grain growth process of the steel was simulated by finite element software Marc.The austenite grain size simulated by finite element is in good agreement with the measured value.
