  • The corrosion properties and mechanism of batch annealled cold rolled plate for home appliance were studied by the means of the corrosion test accelerated by electrochemistry and microstructure observing,and the corrosion resistance of the batch annealled plate were compared with that of the continuous annealled plate.The results show that the corrosion resistance of the continuous annealled plate is superior to that of the batch annealled plate.For longer heating time and higher temperature,some active elements as Mn,Cr and Si elements enrich to the batch annealed plate surface and generate the granular oxides.The primary cause for the batch annealed plate surface rusting is the micro-battery forming by the oxides as cathode and iron substrate as anode.
