    Microstructure and Properties of New Wear Resistance Steel with High Strength and High Toughness

    • A new wear resistance steel with high strength and high toughness was developed through low alloy composition design.Microstructure,mechanical properties and wear resistance of the steel with different heat treatment conditions were studied.The results show that after the proper heat treatment the steel could obtain fine lath martensite and excellent mechanical properties.The tensile strength was above 1 650 MPa,the yield strength was above 1 350 MPa,the elongation was above 9% and the Charpy impact energy was above 40 J(0℃).The wear resistance of the developed steel was equivalent to the foreign steels.
