Preparation and Characterization of N-Doped TiO2 Nanotubes with NH3·H2O Volatilization Process

    • TiO2 nanotubes were prepared on the surface of pure titanium sheet by anodic oxidation method. N was doped with NH3, which engendered by the volatilization of NH3·H2O during heat treatment process. The characteristics of N-doped TiO2 nanotubes were investigated by SEM, XRD and XPS. The effect of N-doping on photocatalytic property of TiO2 nanotubes was studied with self-made photocatalytic sewage disposal device. The results indicate that the diameter of the prepared TiO2 nanotubes was 80-90 nm and the thickness of the wall was 5-10 nm. The crystal forms of undoped and N-doped TiO2 nanotubes annealed at 400 ℃ were the same. The photocatalytic property of TiO2 nanotubes improved 4.7% by N-doping.
