    Mechanical Properties and Friction and Wear Properties of Nano-Al2O3 Modified POM Nanocomposites

    • Polyoxymethylene (POM) / nano-Al2O3 nanocomposites were prepared in twin-screw extruder.The dispersibility of nano-Al2O3,the mechanical properties and the friction and wear properties were studied.The dispersibility of nano-Al2O3 reachs nano-size in the matrix.The mechanical property determinations reveale that the composites become brittle but stiff.The dry friction properties of POM/nano-Al2O3 nanocomposites are reduced.And the main wear mechanism is abrasive wear.The oil friction properties of POM nanocomposites are enhanced enormously.
