Development of a High Manganese Alloyed Steel
-
Abstract
A new high manganese alloy steel has been obtained by adjusting chemical composition and addition of alloying elements in ZGMn13 steel. The structure and properties of the high manganese alloy steel after precipitation hardening heat treatment were analyzed. The high manganese alloy steel containing 1.2%-1.28%C,11%-13%Mn,≤0.02% S,≤0.04%P,≤0.65%Si,1.5%-1.8%Cr and 0.40%-0.50% Mo after suitable precipitation hardening treatment could make austenitic transforming completely and refine austenitic grain, and get dispersed pellet-like carbides. The wear resistance of the steel increased via working hardening and fine dispersion of the second phase. The mechanical properties of the alloy steel could achieve σb=766 MPa,σs=458 MPa,δ=27245%,ak=218 J/cm2 and hardness 217 HBS.
