Microstructure, Sintering and Dielectric Properties of (1-x)Sr1.85Ca0.15NaNb5O15-xBiFeO3 Ceramics

  • (1-x)Sr1.85Ca0.15NaNb5O15-xBiFeO3 (SCNN-BFO) ceramics with tungsten brone structure were prepared by solid phase reaction method. The effects of BFO contents on microstructure, sintering and dielectric properties of the ceramics were studied. The results show that sintering temperature to make the ceramics owning maximum densy decreased from 1 350 ℃ to 1 250 ℃ when was more than or equal to 0.1, and sintering cracking was restrained. Sr2(FeNb)O6 and Bi1.34Fe0.66Nb1.34O6.35 phases appeared when x=0.2, the both content increased with BFO contents, and Bi1.34Fe0.66Nb1.34O6.35 became the major phase when x=0.6. Dielectric constant and dielectric loss were low when x<0.1, low frequency dielectric constant increased rapidly with the increase of BFO content, and the dielectric loss appeared peak value and then decreased.
