Influence of Si(Al)O4 Polymerization Degree on Solidification of Na+

    • Using structural analysis methods, the hydration process of cementitious materials and the effect mechanism of the polymerization degree of Si(Al)O4 on the solidification of Na+ during hydration process were studied. The results indicate that the Si(Al)O4 polymerization degree in raw materials had a remarkable influence on the solidification of Na+.When Si existed in the form of SiQ0 and SiQ1,it depolymerized in the early stage of hydration process, and then reacted with Ca2+ in the solution to form high Ca/Si C-S-H gel. When Si existed in the form of SiQ2 and SiQ3,it was depolymerized mainly in the late stage of hydration process, then Al readily entered the Si(Al)O4 tetrahedral sites and made the hydration into low Ca/Si (Na,Al)-C-S-H gel, which was more useful for the solidification of Na+.When Si existed in the form of SiQ4,it was not useful for the solidification of Na+.
